Project Details
We built a new logo for a local carpenter
I tend to receive a lot of referrals for design work in our local market. This project was referred to me by my friends at Banner Up Signs in Sycamore, Illinois.
Alan’s (the owner) vision for the logo was to incorporate barbed wire into the imagery. If you are not from the Dekalb Area, you should know that it is the home of barbed wire.
Alan had a few sketched ideas where barbed wire was twisting to form the initials of the business name. This was to be the monogram and sort of the mascot for the brand on larger scales. I then moved to create something more streamlined and obvious for the main logo (to be used on websites, van doors, etc).
